I now may have to replace my dream hockey venue?

I would like to see the Sarts play the Flames at this arena... it looks like the kind of place you may have to watch your back if your wearing the other teams colors... and its only 6500 seats plus standing room

1. Where would you most like to see your favorite team play and who would you like to see them play here..

2. What is the most random place you would want to see a game played?

3. Name a place you would never want to see hockey played?

4. Do you think that more or less tickets would be sold to games if the arena had a crazy theme like this place?

5. What is the worst arena name you have ever heard?

6. best non hockey related thing you ever went to an arena to see?

BQ* name something that creeps you out|||1. Carolina Hurricanes vs Colorado Avalanche at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC. The RBC Center is where NC State plays basketball, so why not put an ice rink on the court where UNC plays?

2. Somewhere in my small town, or maybe the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill applies.

3. Hell, hockey is a sport of the gods, or the Canada gods at least.

4. I think a crazy theme would boost ticket sales, at least for a little while.

5. Middelfart Stadium in Denmark.

6. Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the RBC or Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba in Downtown Disney in Florida.

BQ: spiders.|||1. Capitals vs. Penguins at FedEx field. 100,000 screaming fans. Can't beat it.

2. My back yard

3. Next to a cow manure factory

4. More, for a few months. But people would eventually get sick of the gimmick.

5. I don't know for hockey, but overall, it's got to be the new name for City of Manchester Stadium in England. Where Manchester City F.C. play. It's called Etihad Stadium. the word "etihad" meand "united" in Arabic. So technically, Manchester City is going play at United Stadium. Which would be great, if Manchester United didn't exist. It was a stupid idea to rename the stadium.

6. Home opening game for the Wizards at Verizon Center last year. Tied the game with a three pointer at the buzzer, and won in overtime. First time the Wizards had won a game I was attending since 2001.

BQ: Scorpions, not the band, the animal.|||1. Devils vs Rangers at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

2. Well Melbourne, Australia is a pretty random place for an NHL game.

3. Sydney, Australia.

4. It could either be more or less, depending on where the arena is and what people there like.

5. Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, TN. Now known as Bridgestone Arena.

6. Iron Maiden concert.

BQ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPVgvtPIz鈥?/a>|||1. I wish it was possible to have a hockey game in the Beijing arena, it looks so cool but I think it is only build for like soccer or summer Olympics etc. not sure. Other than that I think it would be cool to see my team play the Wings in the 02 arena in London

2. call me crazy for this one but in Jamaica lol it would be cool

3. I dunno, maybe Afghanistan ? or any war zone in this world...

4. I actually think crazy themes can help ticket sales or maybe that's just me

5. Gaylord entertainment center back then but they changed it to Bridgestone Arena

6. Alicia Keys

BQ* mimes they creep me out and they always follow me

Mom doesn't want me to take lessons any more?

i've been riding since i was 5, but have changed disciplines like 4 times, hunt seat, western, driving, and now saddle seat. ive started riding seriously for about 2 years on a regular basis, i had a really really good, instructor, then she got in a fight with the barn owner, who is also her cousin and took her two horses and her stuff and left. that was really disappointing, for everybody. so the barn owner started giving her own lessons and they were never as good as when the old instructor was there. at this barn there were about 4 or 5 girls who would regularly stay on saturdays come before lesson time and stay after to help, watch lessons, hang out and have fun. so the old instructor would make sure that we got in on our scheduled time, (I.E if my lesson was at 10 then it would be at 10) even if we were staying the whole day. then the owner took over lessons when the old instructor left and things really changed and not for the better. the kids who would stay all day wouldn't get their lessons until like 2 or 3 when att of the scheduled lessons were over even though we had a set lesson time. like i would sign up for a 10 AM lesson time and i wouldn't get my lesson until some time around two then she wouldn't tell you if you were having a group or a private lesson until you got to the arena " you don't mind riding with another person do you?" when its a group lesson at her place she pretty much focuses in on only one person in the group, which isn't fair to the other kids in the lesson. and when you did get your lesson she would talk on the phone half the time, not let you canter if you were riding, no stirrup less work, not really pushing us like the other instructor was. so then she got a guy from georgia to help out with lessons, but then he had an affair with one of the other students mom's, instead of kicking the guy out she told the student, (this girl was such a big help to her, coming in to feed the horses on the weekends so the owner could sleep in, staying late on school nights to help muck out before bed, and when one of the horses got really sick she stayed with the owner to help get up ever 2 hours to tube feed the sick horse) she told her that she and her family had no business being around her barn and to stop bothering her all the time to come over and ride. i thought that was really selfish on the owners part. she had no right ti tell her that. so back to my story, so i got my horse in march, and i really like her shes super sweet, i was going to board her at my old lesson barn but the owner said that i'd have to pay like $275 and let her use the horse for lessons as well. so i told her politely,no. but i was really thinking that i don't want some kid or adult that barely knows anything about riding to ride my horse. so i found a good barn with a really nice owner/instructor. she does both. so ive had a 3 lessons with her i really like her she's alot like my first instructor from my old barn, she doesn't just throw you up in the horse and say " Take your lesson, wheres my money?" but she helps you, tells you how do do something and if you mess up she just says its ok try again, but she also tells you why your doing it. and suggestions to get the horse back under control. she pushes you and its good to be pushed if its going to help you become a better rider/horse owner. so my mom doesn't think that i need lessons any more she thinks just because i've got my own horse now that i don't need lessons that i'll learn from my self. and i don't want to tell her that i do need them, cause my mom's got a very sensitive "anger button" you say one thing wrong, do one thing wrong that's not done the way she wants it and she blows up! how do i tell my mom that i still need lessons? i really enjoy taking them, and she doesn't want me to show either, she thinks its a waste of time and money. but yet she'll go out and buy my aunt a dress for a family party in june, and her kids summer stuff, like towels flip-flops, beach and pool toys, but cant be bothered to pitch in with this. it just seems really unfair. please help!|||First of all, I'm so glad you left that first barn. It sounds like WAY too much drama, and you were not really learning anything. I definately would not let the barn owner (who sounds like she doesn't know much about riding anyway) use my horse for lessons. That's a sure way to have your horse's training ruined in a hurry.

Your new instructor sounds great. Maybe you could offer to work for her in return for the lessons? I still meet people who say things like "you still need lessons - I thought you already knew how to ride." I politely tell them that once I'm so good that when the other countries hear that I'm riding on the Olympic team they're too scared to show up, THEN I'll be good enough to not need lessons anymore. Right now I still have a lot to learn. I'm not even long listed for the Olympics yet! LOL.

Anyway, I would avoid telling your mother that you want lessons for showing. When your mom hears "showing," she's thinking that it will cost her money and take up her time. A better approach might be to remind her that an instructor will help you learn to control your horse better so that you stay safe. After all, what parent doesn't want her daughter to be safe? Remind your mother that unless you improve your skills, even the best trained horse will gradually lose its training and become more difficult to handle. Plus a horse is an investment. You paid good money to buy the horse, and the better the horse becomes the more money it is worth. Ruin the horse and it's worth nothing. The best approach when trying to persuade a parent is to remain calm and rational. As soon as you start whining, complaining, or blaming her for spending money elsewhere, your mom will just tune you out. Impress her with your maturity and you just might change her mind.

Hope this works! If not, I suppose you could always find babysitting jobs or something to make some money.|||If your mother is paying to board your horse, she may not be able to afford lessons easily for you any more and is using that as an excuse. As for shows- you are not going to change her mind about that, so ask her to contribute the time, you come up with your own money.

As to move to lessons twice a month, or if that doesn't work, try to exchange cleaning stalls for lessons, pick up job, etc to try to pay for your own lessons. You should be very grateful she is paying board for you- I had to pay everything from 16 yrs on, and had to work hard to be able to afford my horse and I can only afford a lesson once or twice a month.

You could also bring up the point that riding lessons keep you safe because you know you are handling the horse correctly and training it safely.|||Oh dear I do see you problem. Well first off ok and talk to your mom, tell her that there are still so much you need and wish to learn. Tell her that you need to do lessons so you can not only become a better horse woman but be able to take better care for your horse. If she still says no to doing shows then forget her you don't need her money. Ask your barn owner if you could work for her. Or get a small job just helping out. SAVE SAVE SAVE! With that money you will be able to enter in local shows your self.

By doing this, this will show your mom that your are serious about what you are doing. And maybe once she sees that she might help with show money and such.

Hope this helps =)|||I would write her a nice letter trying to explain why you want the lessons and why you need them, or you could save up allowance money or tell her that you will contribute more of your allowance to the horse, or you could even get a job, or work at the barn for the lessons. maybe you can even ask your instructor about the problem, maybe she can help. than again maybe not. hope some of these ideas help you!

Coffee Friday (Part 1)! Can you answer these questions about going to the game?????

I drank WAY too much coffee this morning……I am bouncing off the walls.

The lights, the smells, the sounds, and the action. Nothing really compares to going to a hockey game.

Please answer the following:

1) Do you claim stake of the armrest depending upon the person sitting next to you? Example: If it a big guy you let him have it, or if it a child you hog the entire thing.

2) When you see a guy wearing a jersey of an old traded player, do assume that he is an old fan, or that he can’t afford another jersey?

3) If your arena is having fan appreciation days, and you get to your seat and see that someone stole the free t-shirt that should be sitting on your chair, but the empty seat next to your does have the t-shirt sitting there………Do you take that one? Look around for the jerk that stole your shirt? Ignore it….you didn’t want that shirt anyhow?

4) Do you always bring or wear a hat to the game, to ensure you have one to throw for a hat trick?|||Hi

Good morning and here is my best attempt Haley, sorry if they are not up to standard hectic day.

1.The arm rest is mine. I don't care if its 500lbs guy or 90 year old grandma.

2 The wealth of the person is going to be questioned unless the jersey is in great condition. If it looks like it is only broke out when going to a game then will give a pass, if it looks like its been used for mud wrestling then I'm assuming he is a poor bloke.

3. The seat next to me had a shirt, I didn't notice. In fact I didn't notice any of the empty seats around me had a shirt. The way I am going to look at it is cheap birthday and Christmas presents for friends and family.

4. You know the guy next to me with no free shirt or arm rest, well now he is without a hat too, amazing.

Thank You|||I am a very large man, you may try to claim the armrest, but chances are i've been drinking, so I will have the armrest, and your nachos, thank you.

Old Fan. I have alot of those, I paid good money for them, so I might as well wear them.

Steal the one next to me, let the other guy deal with it, no way your gonna find the guy, and first come first serve.

I don't always wear one, because when my company gives me tickets we have to dress up a little for the Skybox, but when I go on my own, yeah, backwards hat and a jersey everytime!

**Joe- you'd probably be right, I usually wear my Mess jersey to games.

***Your jersey Question just gave me an Idea...You sell a plain team logo jersey, then you sell number and name patches seperate, so you can buy one sweater, and have 3-4 different players. Whatdya think?|||1. All mine.

2. I never thought of it that way. I guess as long as he's not wearing a jersey for the other team who cares.

3. I wouldn't worry about it, because it was probably an xl anyways, and would not fit me.

4. I don't have any hats that I would be willing to throw on the ice. Not even if Chelios scored a hat trick.|||1. My seat came with two armrests. They're both mine.

2. If you can afford seats at this game (Leafs) the cheapest thing is the jersey. I'd assume he's a crasher and I'd inform security and have him removed.

3. You gotta be kidding Leafs have never had a fan appreciation game. "free T shirt" Ha Ha Ha... excuse me I can't believe this question.

4. When was the last time the Leafs had a hat trick? If they happen to get one I look for a donor hat.

BTW if anyone is interested I have never reported any one on Y!A if it's happened look else where.|||1)Im the guy who sits forward on the chair with my elbows on my knees so no arm rest for me unless its intermission but I dont really need it then either but we will have a problem if that guy keeps standing when a play happens near the net.

2)It depends..If I see a guy in a Lindbergh jersey I think its for an old fan..but Brind'amour or Podein jerseys cant afford to update.

3)I take it and tell the person who showed up that I saw a guy take his tshirt earlier and he had a Messier Jersey on.

4)I always wear a hat but have never thrown one on the ice after a hattrick.

**Iceman-I thought you looked familiar.|||IU just found out the school library si closed on Friday during the break, so I dont have to go learning about cat parts. Holla, time for Haley!

1. I'm usually freezing my *** off and huddled into a ball so I dont particularly need the armrest. The cupholders are on the back of the chair in front of you so my pop is fine.

2. I assume a fan who knows better than to spend 300 on a new jersey everytimne someone new shows up. Especially if the name on the old jersey is a very well known guy, or someone who you know he had the jersey custom made for.

3. If nobody was sitting there, I'd totally take it. Course, all fans ever get at Sabres games are puke yellow pom poms lol.

4. I never sit close enough to throw anything lol. Tossing your new era hat from section 313 only garauntees it will hit the fat Toronto fan in front of me, then land in a pile of spilled pepsi. Gross.|||1- Claim at least one of them. A good ol' fart helps out with stubborn "rest hogs".

2- an Old Fan with no money maybe?

3- WHAT??? You get T-Shirts...damn! Take it!!

4- I always wear one to ensure the pig behind me isn't spitting up beer froth on to my chrome dome. Yes I'll throw it...but you can claim/retrieve it after the game.|||well ill let a pretty lady have it but other than that i would take it.

well if its a traded player he probably just doesnt want to dish out the 250 again because the person thinks why spend another 250 when that player will get traded the following year. if its a hall of famer than that fan probably is just in love with him.

i could care less about a free tshirt on fan day.

always wear a hat, and i have been fortunate enough to throw 3 hats on the ice in my 15+ years of going to a couple games a year. this year actually they were giving out penguins tossle caps and malkin netted a hat trick so i got to throw the free one away.|||1) I don't really care for the armrest. I 'll use it periodically if I can but I worry more about not spilling my beer. An armrest battle wouldn't be a good idea.

2) Probably both, their expensive!

3) Never happen at the ACC, but I would leave the t-shirt, it's no great loss and what if it is a child sitting there? I'd feel terrible!

4) I always wear a hat to the game but I would never throw it in for a hat trick. I collect these hats, Hockey %26amp; Football.|||1- To be completely honest, I usually never even set my arms on the arm rests. I am usually sitting at the edge of my seat, not just because of the excitement but just because for some reason thats always where I end up. Or if I am sitting back, I am small and my hands just go in my lap. But hypothetically speaking, the big guy can have it, he probably needs all the room he can get. As for the child, I am going to be selfish and take that, chances are that they can't reach it anyways and if they can, I'm older and wiser, I get it.

2- I usually think that he/she either can't afford a new jersey or just doesn't care what name is on there as long as they are wearing the logo. ??? To be honest I don't really think much more of it then "Oh, that guy doesn't play with us anymore. man I am getting hungry/thirsty...." The mind wanders after that...

3- I'm not gonna lie, I am probably going to take the shirt off the seat next to me. To make matters worse, I'm probably never going to even wear it, I just want it...I've never actually been to a game where they have given me anything but a coupon for Arby's or soemthing stupid like that on my way in...

4- No actually I don't, but maybe I should start.

*Those were fun...|||1) The arm rest is MINE. Actually I usually lean to the side and sit closer to whomever I am at the game with - hubby or kids.

2) I have so far assumed they were old fans. Now I have to look down at them . . . j/k

3) If I like it, I'm taking it off the chair next to mine.

4) No, I would just throw my glasses on the ice . . .|||1) I spend so much time at the bar, watching the game on the tube that I don't care.

2) Depends on what the rest of him and his attire looks like. A mullet and Sergio Valente 70's Jeans and Lotto sneakers.....he is poor. Nike Shox, well groomed...old fan.

BTW Tom, why does it not surprise me that you would run to security? Typical....just like how you have my answers removed when you can't handle the truth. Haley......sorry about the off topic rant. I hate crybaby tattle tales.

3) Yeah sure, I probably take that one...if it was nice and nobody else seemed to be sitting there.

4) I'm a hat person. Last time...Gagne scored a hattrick...I said what the hell...........tried to ball it up and heave it from the luxury suites.....only went about half way. LOL Then....to compound it, they changed the last goal to someone else so it wasn't even a trick. I liked that hat dammit.|||1) First come, first serve.

2) Probably couldn't get another jersey yet. Either that or a bandwagoner.

3) If the shirt can fit me, I take it from the seat next to me and tell the person who would sit there that their shirt was taken by some jerk.

4) I like my hats so I keep them at home for hockey games.|||Depends, I will tend to try to hog the one of the person I am at the game with on the other side. No offense to anyone who is a bit bigger but I learned my lesson last year - don't invite your biggest friend to the game or you end up with 1/2 a seat. The kid next to me is telling me i can share his seat he does not need all of it.

Assume it s an old fan. I have actually seen guys with the New RBK jerseys with the name and number of long retired players so it is not even always an old jersey.

Fan appreciation day. I leave it- don't really want or need the shirt. I like unique things so wouldn't really want one if there are 20,000 more of them out there.

Not always, I have learned not to bring a hat I don't want to lose. That said. when was the last time I was in attendance for a hat trick? I honestly can't remember. In recent years the habs have had enough trouble scoring 3 goals let alone three by the same guy.

Happy Friday|||YAY, Haley! It's FRIDAY!!!!!!

1.) Haha... it depends on how my arm feels and who gets to the seat first! I don't think I would hog it from a child, though.

2.) I just assume he really likes that player... and, like me, finds those jerseys mighty expensive! Shoot!

3.) If there's nobody sitting there, I probably take it, lol... that's terrible of me! But really, I would maybe look around to see where it went. I'm very territorial with my belongings. I even hoard food at the dinner table.

4.) Well, I didn't wear one to the last game I went to, because I don't know what happens to them after you throw them on the ice! And, like I said, I'm funny about my stuff|||1) If it's not claimed when I get there, the armrest is mine.

2) It really could go either way. I tend to think he's an old fan.

3) I'd check the size of the shirt on the seats next to mine (side to side and front to back). If one fits, it's mine. If they don't, well, then that's that.

4) I always have a hat and an extra one, usually one I don't use anymore. So far I haven't been to a game with a hat trick, but if there is one, I can throw the extra hat.|||1. I wait to see what they are going to do. If they are going to put their arm on it then i lean on the other armrest but i really dont need one anyway.

2. I hope he is just an old fan and they usually are

3. I would take the one next to me because now it would be their problem. Someone took mine so i should take someone else's. First come First serve.

4. No i dont own a hat. Even if i did i always sit behind the netting so i couldnt throw it anyway.|||1) yeah, if it's a big guy, i let him have it...if it's a little kid, i take it all

2) old fan

3) i take the shirt on the empty seat

4) no|||I love coffee!!

1. I eat it all myself.. lol

2. Old fan, or a die hard fan of that person

3. Look for the jerk whole stole it and kick their asss, or get security to look for them, sorry I love anything free at hockey games.

4. Well I don't wear baseball caps, only tuques.

When I went to my first Montreal game Michael Ryder scored a hat trick, I felt like an idiot I didn't have a hat to throw for my favorite player. So from now on I have to bring hats. lol|||1)Don't use the arm rest pretty much ever, So if dud wants it that bad he can have it.

2) Both. Because Old jersey's mostly mean old fans and some are really expensive, so I can see not upgrading.

3)Take the shirt, I want my free shirt Darn it !!!!!

4) No I have yet to throw a hat. When I have one nobody gets a hat trick and when I don't have one they do.|||1) I take half of it... normally the back half.

2) Any fan thats wearing a Wings jersey is a Wings fan.

3) I look for the jerk.

4) Nope.|||1. At least one of them is mine, no matter who is next to me.

2. Both, you know what happens when you assume stuff..

3. A shirt is a shirt......

4. Don't even think about throwing my hat, I need it to cover my bald spot!|||1. i never really use the armrest when someone is next to me cause i usually am sitting on the edge of the seat but during intermission i put my arms on the rest

2. i assume he is an old fan because they obviously are they have an old jersey it doesn't matter if they have an old jersey they are still fan of my fav team so i wouldn't care

3. well i would hope that the seat that has the shirt on it is the same seat that the person i went with had so they could give it to me but if it wasn't i don't think i would take the shirt cause i would feel bad. if no one sat there and the game ended i would take it

4. i were a hat but it has autographs on it so i don't know if i would throw it on the ice for a hat trick. maybe i will start bringing an extra hat|||1.) I claim both of them. That includes movie theaters, et cetera

2.) He's an old fan or just hates the new jerseys

3.) I'd take the one on the seat below me. The person would be less suspicious of me

4.) I always wear a hat, but I've never thrown it on the ice when a player gets a hat trick|||1) I take it if i get there first. Too bad to whoever sits next to me, you should have been at your seat earlier.

2) He cant afford another jersey. I cant stand seeing people wear Fedorov jerseys at Joe Louis Arena. Get a new jersey already, everyone hates the guy!

3) Take the shirt from the seat next to me. I want a shirt damnit!

4) Always wear a hat, although i didnt throw it when McCarty had his hat trick against the Avs. Instead, i caught other peoples hats that were coming down and threw them down LOL.|||1. Heck yeah! I dominate the armrest like no other!

2. I assume he's an old fan. The fact that he's wearing the home team's (or road team) jersey is a testament to his fandom.

3. I take the other shirt. When the seat holder comes to claim said space, I blame the theft on the guy who took my shirt!

4. I never throw any of my hats on the ice for hat tricks. Even when I was a kid and saw either Mario Lemieux or Jaromir Jagr score hat tricks (which was almost a regular occurence when I was growing up), I kept my hat on. Hats are expensive these days (especially the fugly MLB batting practice hats...c'mon now, hats for batting practice?)...|||1 Yes, I'm scared the fat guy will eat me

2 He must be a fan, if it is a retired player or a recently traded player, but if they have a Mogilny Toronto jersey thet can't afford it

3 Look around, if I can't find it then take it and say, "Some ***** stole your T-Shirt, I chased him down but he got away"

4 I wear my lucky Toronto hat|||1) I would let the kid have it, because he'd get his grubby hands all over it, and if it's some big guy, I'd let him have it too. I never use the arm rest anyway.

2) It depends...Mostly I assume it's an old fan when it's the Niedermayer or Arnott jerseys...And then you're just a loser if it's a Gomez or Holik jersey (GRR!)

3) It would be too hard to find the jerk that stole my shirt, and I would swipe the one next to me if it's a nice shirt. If it's some ugly XXL one-size-fits-all shirt, then I'm just gonna leave it there.

4) Come on Homes, I'm a Devils fan! If three individual players can't even get a goal a piece for a total of three, what makes you think one player can single-handedly get three goals!??!?!?! :-P I never bring a hat, the Devils never score! GRR.

ADD: hehe, devils scored 4 goals today :-P|||1) I armwrestle the guy/gal for it!

2) Seriously, I don't think about it at all

3) I take the one in the seat next to mine.......no questions asked

6) I usually wear one of my black fedoras..................none has ever entered the rink

Are these good seats for a black eyed peas concert?!?

are these good seats?!

soo would we be able to see them well enough with thses seats? cause i can't find any better ones...

here is the seating chart thing...

http://www.indux.com/map/Xcel_Energy_Mar鈥?/a>|||They're decent. You are going to be back a bit from the stage, but seats 1-3 should be on the aisle which is a good thing. And you could definitely be further away. However, if there are seats low in sections C4-C6 or C26-C28, those would most likely be a closer view.|||Pretty Good!

How was your weekend (and TONS of fun questions)?

1) So how was your weekend? Friday after school I packed my bags and headed to the barn to spend the night. I didn't get to ride on friday because it was raining like crazy and our arena was all mud. Sunday morning I was the only one cleaning 18 stalls and I can't say I enjoyed it to much. At about 3 in the after noon me and 2 friends when on a trail ride. The pony I was riding (izzy) jumped over the stupidest things. There was something not even 3 inches off the ground that she jumped. I did fall off after a galloping buck but then took her into the arena (after it was all dry) and worked her hard and did some more (bigger) jumping.

2) While I was on the trail ride we decided to have a race. Izzy's gallop is very smooth and I sat it with ease. But, I felt like I had no control what so ever. I couldn't even stop her and with a few bucks I was off. I was alright of course but I feel so unsafe when she gallops. We raced at a spot on the trail that we call the "racing spot" and the horses are used to galloping when we go there. So my questions are: How can I be in control at a gallop? and How can I make sure she doesn't go off and gallop until I give her the aid to?

3) Do you like trail rides? If so, what's your favorite thing to do on them? I love trail rides and I love jumping over everything and anything I can.

4) Do you prefer saddles or bareback? I prefer saddles.

5) How do you get through a cold day of riding? This weekend has been SO cold. I find it so hard to get through all the horse work as well as riding when it's freezing outside. I live in Maine and it's only fall and I'm already cold. Any tips?

6) What discipline do you do? What would you like to try. I love riding english and I do jumping and trail riding. I grew up learning western. It's not my favorite but I still play around with it on the trails sometimes. I would love to try vaulting and cross country.

7) What do you love to do other than anything horse related? I love field hockey and I'm on our schools team. I play all year long. I'm on our school team in the summer and fall and I'm on our state team in the winter and spring.

8) What's your favorite breed? Mine are Hanoverians.

9) When I canter I always seem to lean back. When I try to sit more up right I end up bouncing a lot and then I end up in the same leaned back position. How can I sit up Straight without bouncing and stay up?

10) What annoys you the most at your barn? Mine is that our tack room can never stay organized and people use other peoples tack and never clean it or put it away.

Feel free to answer any of the questions you like. I don't expect anyone to answer them all. Just answer what you'd like. =)|||1) So how was your weekend?

Pretty good. Yesterday I went to a GIANT tack sale (it filled two large arena's, a livestock barn, and another section). I bought 4 headstalls, 3 bits, 3 sets of reins, a ton of curb straps, a new girth, and really nice splint boots). The tack sale happens every year, and it's about a hour from where I live. The cool thing about it is that it's in the town where I grew up. So after the tack sale I went and drove by my old house, it was really cool. Then I went back home and went to a horse show and just watched for a while. Then I went to the barn and had a great ride. Then I went and hung out with friends and had a really good time. It was a coll day :) I'm not doing anything today though.

When a horse takes off, pulling them into a circle can be very helpful. I'd work on a ton of stops and get her really sensitive to voice commands before you do that again.

3) Do you like trail rides? If so, what's your favorite thing to do on them?

I love trail rides. My favorite thing to do is to let my horse run, and I mean really run, when on the trails. There are only certain places where I let him run though.

4) Do you prefer saddles or bareback?

Depends on what I want to accomplish that day. I love riding bareback, but there are times when I'd rather have a saddle.

5) How do you get through a cold day of riding?

Two pairs of pants, many shirts, thick socks, gloves and a hat or hood. I ride bareback a lot on the winter because saddles are too cold. My horse is like a heater.

6) What discipline do you do? What would you like to try?

I do many things. I guess my competitive focus is more on barrel racing than anything else, but I still do a ton of things with my horse. I REALLLY want to learn dressage.

7) What do you love to do other than anything horse related?

Read, hang out with friends, drive my truck (I love my truck way too much). That's pretty much my whole life right now haha.

8) What's your favorite breed?

Quarter horses.

9) When I canter I always seem to lean back. When I try to sit more up right I end up bouncing a lot and then I end up in the same leaned back position. How can I sit up Straight without bouncing and stay up?

Practice, practice, practice. You can't get good at something unless you do it. And since I can't see you ride, I really can't tell you what's causing you to do this. Have someone watch you ride and then have them critique you. But make sure they're experienced.

10) What annoys you the most at your barn?

The arena lights. They're on a timer so they only go on if it's after 4 o'clock in the after noon. I live in WA (the land of clouds) so it's always really dark in the arena. it's completely enclosed, and dang it's annoying. And I think someone tampered with the time because last week they wouldn't go on until it was like after 7 or 8 o'clock.|||(1) i had a good weekend....on saturday, i went to the barn and grromed and rode my horse, went to a resturant with my little 7 yr old sis,her friend, and my mom...(my sis smeared jello on her face LOL)then i went to homecoming :) yay first middle school dance!then today i went to church..and came home...

(2) never galloped...PLEASE DONT YELL AT ME FOR HAVING A HORSE EVEN THO IM NOT EXPEIRIANCED(%26lt;-WHY CANT I SPELL THAT WORD?!?!)im good with horse care...and they were selling him,and id ridden him for some lessons, and me and my mom both loved him,and we didnt want him to be sold before i was ready..so yeah,me and the horse are actually training eachother....

(3)ive never been on an actual trail ride..except for ones at camp...but those werent exactly exciting...still nice tho :)

(4) i think i like bareback..but ive never tried trotting bareback...ill have to see about taht one :)

(5)idk...i was FREEZING on saturday....

(6)i go back and forth..havent reallly decided yet

(7)i like to play softball,ski,hike....and anything outdoorsy :)

(8)my favs are quarter horses

(9)idk,ive cantered...but not enough to know how to answer

(10)mine is prob the messedupness (%26lt;- MY word lol) its REALLY messy...some day im gonna go over there and just CLEAN! like the stall next to my horses stall is all filled with equipment (weed wacker things, auto parts..wheel barrow parts, fence fixing stuff..EVERYTHING!)so i wanna go and organize it all,and they said i can have a corner of that stall for my stuff (grooming stuff, helmet, halter,) stuff like that..and id like it to be clean for that :)|||1) My weekend was awful! I was going to the barn, but i got a sore throat, and wasnt allowed to go!

2) You need to use half halt, and use ur foot and ur reins, when u does something wrong, keep correcting him, and when ur ready to go use ur feet to guide him

3) I love trail rides! i ove jumping over logs, and going through water!

4) Saddles, bareback is a little to..how should i put this...bony.

5) Other then wearing heavy clothes, put some hand warmers in ur pockets, scarfs, and make sure when u get home have a very hot cup of hot chocolate!

6) i to would love to try vaulting and cross country. And i do english, and i jump, ground work, and trail riding

7) i play basketball on our school team, but i have a huge passion for horses

8) I love quarter horses(:

9) All u can do it practice

10) Mine is how everybody puts the halters in the wrong place, so u always grab a diffrent horses halter.|||1) My weekend was really fun, but not horsey at all. Some friends and I went up to the mountains and stayed in a cabin and just had some fun. One of them was a horsey friend, so we watched Blue Hors Matine and Richard Spooner videos for awhile, but no one else thought that was very interesting :)

2) When a horse sees a big open area, they are going to want to just let go and run. Try working with her in the arena (or a smaller pasture) first so she can't run off with you. She's just getting excited and ignoring you, not purposely misbehaving.

3) I like trail rides, but I don't go on a lot. Where I live, there really aren't any trails unless you ship out which my horse is not ready to do.

4) Saddles. Bareback is fun and good for you, but most days I use saddles

5) I live in southern california. I don't think cold days exist. But when I went to Missouri for college last year, I just gave my horse the entire winter off because I couldn't deal with the weather (even in the indoor) and he hated it too

6) English. Mostly jumping and I'm trying to get more into dressage (soooo hard to find a good instructor here!), but eventually I would like to do some real eventing

7) Nothing athletic really. I'll hike/walk/jog with my dogs, but that's about the extent of my athletic-ness. Oh, and also skiing. I love to ski. Or snorkel/dive

8) Irish Sport Horses. Except my favorite horses always end up being thoroughbreds

9) Lean back all you want. Feel what's happening. Use your hips and the entire lower portion of your belly to follow the motion. When you've got that, then you can lean forward. Until then, you aren't using your bottom half right

10) I love my new barn. I guess maybe that they have polo matches there during season and the polo field is ALWAYS being used, so I'm stuck in the arenas|||wow fun weekend for you but sounded awsome!

my weekend was busy too! :D

on saturday, i fed my horses and then i went to the races %26lt;3 and won some money! :D

i then went straigh back to my horses and started to trot with one ( their still in training ive broken/backed them myself :) ) so she done great! no problems at all.

today (sunday) i went over and cleaned out the feilds and filled up the water buckets. i then taught april to bow down :) . i couldn't ride today as it was pouring down!. so that sucked a bit!

3) my horses have never been on a trail ride. they are still training but we have been on hacks and they love it aswell as me. they never want to go back home xD

4) i preffer saddles.

5) i just put on my jockey layers ( thermal tshirts) and ride in them with like 4 pairs of socks! yes it's so cold here to :( i hate autem/winter! ):

6) i do english (: never tried westen.

7) i love volley ball and parties. i loves listening to music and drawing.

8) i love thoroughbreds and new forest's

9) i have never cantered before :/ cant wait to though! just some more training with my babies first!

10) same as you. i never put things away and then i moan that i need to. but i never do lol. my mum always goes in and is like " wheres your grooming kit" im like erhhhh

LOTS OF SPELLING MISTAKES BUT THE BOX KEEPS DISEPERING

question for you (:

whats your horse called? (:

wow 31. nice! nah i could never sell my horses now. i have 2 4yos called foxy and april. and i have a rescued shetland called sonny who is 9 he can't be ridden.

Seems abit Fishy In WWE!?

(No Trolling Intended)

Yesterday i watched smackdown and when The undertaker came the lights went of and the fans cheered a split second before the lights went off, im talking 0.1 of a second. So i tried it on my tv upstairs and it was the same. abit weird.

Also On ECW i saw 3 signs saying the same thing about 50ft away from each other, the said `Christians Peeps!!!` They looked identical!

Whats Your Opinion on this, Photoshopped Crowd? Photocopied Signs handed outside the arena? Or The crowd can look into the future!|||It looks fishy yes! There's hundreds of things about WWE we don't know about that could shock the world!

http://wrestlingnewspro.com/ - The Latest Update On Rey Mysterio!|||weird|||they cheered at the "dong" of the bell....

and no signs are not handed out at the arena ive been to smackdown/ecw and raw and they arent. maybe they have the same signs or they were innapropriate so they photoshopped them|||1. Uh, interesting, but remember, there are always people hired by WWE to blend in with the crowd.

2. At most WWE events, WWE will hand out the signs for you

3. It doesn't matter to me, I seen this a billion times.|||Not sure about the Undertaker scenario, but in that 0.1 second, does the "dong" sound count? If so, that's how they knew when to cheer. If not, it's because on SmackDown! they use this added crowd effect (forgot the name of it) on the show since it's taped, so they can edit the sound.

As for the signs, most likely those were signs handed out then if they were truly identical. If it was just a plain simple 'Christians Peeps' with no unique design to it, then it's just coincidence they had the same planned sign.|||Odd|||maybe!|||Smackdown %26amp; ECW happens the same night ECW on Tuesdays %26amp; airs then %26amp; Smackdown is Taped %26amp; played back on Fridays.

It is always the same crowd at both|||youre right

Note: I watched the final game from Yankee Stadium, and one of the players (I can't remember who it was) talked about how the best thing about being a Yankee was that all the old-timers still hung around the clubhouse and talked about the old days. In the 60s, the NHL was like that (and in Montreal and Detroit it still is), you could walk into the Hawks dressing room and meet the Bentley brothers, ot Glen Skov, in the 70s, Bill White and Pierre Pilote would hang around. I think the NHL would be a better place if Glenn Anderson hung around the Oilers dressing room drinking beer, or Bryan Trottier imparted his wisdom to Ruslan Fedotenko, or Marcel Dionne and Charlie Simmer gave wedgies to Anze Kopitar. The NHL needs to bring the past to the present better than they do. I applaud the Steinbrenner family (from Tampa I hear) for keeping the traditions alive at Yankee Stadium as much as I applaud Mike Ilitch and his open door policy to Red Wings alum. I enjoy hanging around arenas talking to people about the game, the players, management, etc. It's been a part of my life for 50 hyears....why stop now.

|||1. A) Wear a jersey. Have to show support for the team. Also a teeshirt with the team logo on it incase I decide to take off my jersey for a bit.

8. C) Watch the highlights and listen to the postgame show on the radio|||1.) A. Hockey Jersey. It's the only way to go!

2.) B. $50. Food isn't too cheap, and I may see something else I like!

3.) E. Other- usually I'll walk around the arena and check out some of the little shops set up, possibly grab a snack, and keep looking around.

4.) D. Find your seat, and wait for the game. Usually I get there with a little bit of time left, sometimes I'll even walk down to the front and watch the warm ups. It's the best time to get good pictures if you're not sitting front row!!

5.) D. A fan of your team that is obviously wasted. I have been surrounded by fans of the opposing team (at home, too!!) but the wasted fan of my team will definitely provide some interesting stories the next day... =P

6.) C. Get up and start dancing. Something like this never happens to me, so I'm not gonna waste this moment!!

7.) B. Stay until the game is well over, and wait for the crowd to clear out. I would never leave the game when my team is winning! Especially by a large margin!!! Staying after is one of the fun parts too!!

8.) E. Other- I would brag about it the next day, and tell all my friends how they missed the most amazing game last night!!|||1.A... because i payed a lot of money for it so i'm gonna wear it

6.A.. i have always wanted to be on thejumbo-tron

7.C... you never know something could still happen like a fight or injury

8.C|||1. B Wearing an NHL jersey to a game in Toronto makes you ripe for Panhandlers. How can you convince them you've got no spare change when you've doled out $500 for a Wellwood Jersey.

2. D ($200) never take less than $200 out in case you meet some panhandlers.

3. C. Gotta get some cheap raw fish before the game.

4. D. Lots to do before game time at the rink. Check out the stands for buddies.

5. C. more in common with him than any of the others.

6. C. or D. depending on who is sitting next to me and if the Kiss Cam is on.

7. B. Always take your time. Live for the moment.

8. C. Since I've Tivo ed the game I can watch it all night and day if I want to.|||1. B..Something casual.

2.C..$100

3. E. take photos of warmups, then grab something to drink

4. A. It's almost a 3 hour drive to the arena and I'm coffeed up.

5.C..

6, B.

7. B. If it's a blowout, a lot of folks would have already left

8. C ..but only if I'm at the game by myself

|||1. A

4. E walk around and get something to eat

5. B

|||I love coffee!!

1 Jersey. At least that if not like some sort of sign or face paint or something along those lines.

2 Well i dont have an account, but if i did i would take at least $100

because i am very likely to spend most of it in the shops or on food.

3 I would probably do a little bit of all of it, but i doubt i wouldn't even know when the game started.

4 I usually find my seat, watch warm ups, and then go get food.

5 Wow pick any tougher choices why dont you!! Uh i would have to go with the drunk fan. The rest would annoy me way too much but i could deal with someone ready to pass out because it would be quiet.

6 Wave to the camera but i hate that.

7 Definently B. If i pay a huge sum of money, i am going to stay and enjoy every minute of it.

8 A and C. It would be awesome and definently make my week!!

Good questions as usual!!|||1 A.

2. D. None since all arenas accept debt and credit to pay for all purchases at the arena.

3. D. I stuff my face with 9 hot dogs, 7 hamburgers, 5 pizzas, 2 sodas, 12 beers and still have room for desert at the first intermission. Oh and I would spend the next 30 minutes looking for a mint!

4. D. Do a #2, have any mints?

5. C.

6. D. Give the middle finger

7. D. Walk down to the opposing teams bench and look to start a fight

8. E. Brag to everyone here at Yahoo Answers!!

|||1) hockey jersey

2) $50

3) go for a drink in the outside bar

4) buy a beverage

5) teen girl = P

6) other - i would grab the teen girl next to me and make out with her

7) leave on time and fight with the crowd

8) call some buddies and brag in a bar|||1) I like wearing my jersey shirts... Simply because it's a conversation starter. Someone else in the crowd can be like "ohhh! you like Talbot too?" and you can just spark a conversation from there. but when i'm not really wanting to talk, i'll just wear a regular shirt.

2) I'd choose the other for this one. I'd probably take 10 if anything. I think if i got $100 out, i'd spend it on hockey stuff that i really don't need.

3) If i get there early, I party with the other fans outside. The Mellon Arena always has those crazy fans sitting on the hood of their car screaming chants and trying to get people to look at them, why not join?... i have nothing better to do!

4) I just find my seat. I pee before i got ANYWHERE, so i have no reason to get up during the event i'm at.

5) I absolutely hate people who talk during hockey games, and i cannot stand drunk people at games... for various reasons. I'd choose the guy wearing a jersey of the opposing team. It's fun to just scream "YOUU SUCKKKKK GO HOOOMEEE" and you both be able to laugh about it.

6) I'd probably just make a funny face on the JumboTron.... or like, smile at it awkwardly... I'd be creeped out... like, of all people they chose me to put the camera on lol

7) I leave probably 3 minutes after the game is over. I like to stay and celebrate the win with my team. I especially like taking pictures of my team when they win, when they are all on the ice hugging eachother %26amp; whatnot.

8) I usually text a bunch of people, people that aren't really a fan of the player, and rub it in their face. I used to do that when Malone did REALLY good :)|||1. a

2. b

3. e. Sometimes I walk around the rink to kill some time, and buy some stuff.

4. c

5. d He looks funny lol.

6. a

7. c

8. c|||1) Any Jersey

2) 50

3) Go inside and sit

4) leak

5) wasted fan or girl on phone

6) start dancing

7) beat the crowd at the last possible moment

8) watch reply on the bed|||1. A - the kids bought me a jersey, I'm gonna wear it with pride

2. $80 - just to be awkward, and so it shows up as 'ours' on the bank statement.

3. A and/or B - I love to people watch wherever I go , and hockey fans are great fun to see doing their stuff.

4. D.

5. The biker. He's not likely to smoke at his seat anyway. It will tick me off if he gets up and down more than once for a smoke, though.

6. A is probably the best I could manage - D is probable - I'd be so astonished that I'd do something to look like a complete dufus.

7. D. With my husband driving, we stay till the absolute end of the game, and still try to beat the traffic.... type A to the core.

8. We did this. Had to go to a pharmacy en route, to get throat sweets for me - my voice hurt me for days. We picked up the kids from our friends' house wearing the player's flag that was a giveaway that night around our necks, singing 'Here We Go, Here We Go'. Without the kids to worry about I reckon we'd have done A, B and C.

Now, what's a natural hat trick as distinct from just a hat trick? Someone wise must tell me!

Edit: Thanks Homes, a couple of wise people emailed me with the definition, which I also really appreciated. The definition makes sense - and the night I lost my voice (I'm so glad if was that game I could get to), it was young Zetterberg breaking a scoreless streak, and yes, it was a 'natural'.|||1. e. all of the above. (the other part will include underwear. or wait, maybe "c" can cover that. if the underwear has a logo. sigh. i digress)

2. c. better to have and not need, then "need" and not have. beer is expensive these days.

3. b. bandwagon wings fans are very entertaining as they bring copies of "hockey for dummies" when they arrive to the game. (Actual story)

4. d, b, c, repeat b as much as possible, later to be followed by a (see b). it's all about priorities.

5. d. entertainment. might also absorb the potential souvenir puck

6. d. do the most bizarre thing that strikes me at that very instant. hey, spontaneity is exciting.

7. b. it's all about the entire experience. after all, i paid the $$. (see question #2)

8. d. (sigh. kids)|||1) C) Something with at least a NHL team logo : I don't have a jersey, I only got t-shirt, sweaters and hats.

2) B) 50$ : That's enough for food and for a bus ride. Don't really need more than that, since everytime I go to a game, its in Ottawa and their store only sell Sens stuff and I hate the Sens.

3) C) Try to quick go grab some dinner

4) E) Other - Explain? : Go find where our seats are, sit there for a few minutes, go grab something to eat and get back to our seats to make sure not to miss the warm-up

5) B) The guy wearing a jersey of the opposing team, and his face is painted team colors. : I don't have a problem with having a fan of the opposing team sitting beside me, cuz, everytime a go to a game, I'm always one of the few fans there who cheer for the visitor teams.

6) B) Ignore it, and pretend that you didn’t notice : It never happen, so I can really say what I would do, but I think I would probably ignore it, cuz I'm a pretty shy person, and I wouldn't want 17 000 persons looking at me waving at the camera or acting crazy.

7) B) Stay until the game is well over, and wait for the crowd to clear out : Best thing to do. You just don't leave the place 'til they name the 3 stars.

8) A) Call some buddies and brag : I will not call them, but send them all a msgs on their cellphone to brag about it.
