Will the momentum FINALLY swing the penguins way in game 3?

This was terrible.

I understand the penguins were getting just as many shots on goals as the red wings were.

This is no news, but I feel just so terrible. I've got a sore spot by my heart and my throat is all lumpy. My muscles feel like jelly. But I am NOT crying. Bandwagoner pens fans have probably already given up. I haven't, but I AM very down on this loss. I know the pens are down by 2 games, but it is against the tough, nasty, dirty-playing, rotten Red Wings.

Man! NOTHING changed in the scoring department except the order in which they were scored.

I thought the penguins were gonna get this one after being first on the board and taking the lead 1-0 (the first time they've lead in the series)

I was smiling and happy that the penguins had the lead 1-0 after the 1st period. Then things only went terrible and downhill, boom red wings tiew, boom. GOOOOODBYE PENGUINS LEAD, TIME TO PLAY THE CATCH-UP GAME. 2-1 Red Wings. MANY MANY CLOSE CALL penguin shots, but the Red Wing defense was faar too much to take on the poor, young, hard-working team.

In the third, more salt was added to the penguins wounds, the red wings get another one and make it 3-1. 2 VERY CLOSE ONES by the penguins, one goal was under review, the ref, silently indicates with his hands *PENGUIN GOAL IS NO GOOD* "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAA鈥?goes the crowd. The Red wings got too lucky. (the refs want to be so damn hard on the penguins.

Then in the final minute, another close call goal by the penguins, it went in the net, but too late! The refs whistled to stop play!

Penguins lose... the goal horn sounds, indicating the wings win the game. The pens head back to the locker room, and now hit the airport to fly back to pittsburgh down 2 games to 0!!!!!! AGAIN! LIKE LAST YEAR! (ONE MORE BLOW AND THEY'RE IN A MUST-WIN SITUATION, I don't see the pens standing a chance winning 4 games in a row. So game 3 is the most important game of all for the penguins.

It's home in Pittsburgh. Home ice for the penguins. :|

This is very important. They MUST win this next game or I think they have been blown up, humiliated by another year of playoff work wasted to only get blown out by the Red Wings. This is terrible.

What do you think is going to happen in game 3? Will the penguins find good luck heading their way in heading to the mellon arena?

God, I felt like punching someone hard when that clock hit 0.00 when the penguins unleashed their s**tload of stress on the wings. THAT FIGHT WAS GREAT!!

More Wings fans acting like "just hand 'em the cup", they played that 80's hair rock band song "whooooaaa oaaa.........we're halfway there....whoooaaa oaaaaaaaa, we're living on a prayer"

The penguins have got a serious load of work to do. I am taking this loss, and it feels very sour and terrible. We have the lead 1-0 and go on to lose it 3-1. They came close, plenty of shots on goal, but none of them even went in. %26gt;X( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is your prediction for game 3? Will the penguins win it, or have the red wings humiliated the penguins, a hard-working young team just so damn hungry for a stanley cup, but choking it and blowing it for back to back years?|||First, off... I am also a Penguins' fan. And, I think that they can and will win Game 3. Most of the breaks went against them in G2, but I thought they played better than in the opener.

However, please quit your crying about the officials. You sound like a Rangers or Caps' fan. If you are a true Penguins' fan, you realize that sometimes the breaks just don't go your way. Plus, the Red Wings have been the best franchise in hockey the last 10 years.

When Gretzky finally won his first cup, the Oilers won 5 in a row. Lemieux won 2 once he finally won. It's up to Crosby and Malkin to get their first. Then maybe we'll see more than just one in the Burgh.|||its a sweep

pens have nothing./.....no really

i predict a tough battle with the wings yet again finding a way to win.|||The Penguins are a likable team. I've never had anything against them. But all their power is contained at the top. They're a two-man show. This regular season, only two Penguins had over 50 points. Guess which ones? And only FOUR with 40 or more.

The Wings had 8 players with 50 points or more, and 11 with 40 or more. They have a deeper roster, and that's near impossible to beat. Wings' major contributors this finals are Franzen, Filppula and Abdelkader. Most hockey fans have never heard of those guys.|||If you replaced this:

"...but choking it and blowing it for back to back years?"

With:

"losing to a superior team in back to back years?"

Then you'd have something.

Not to mention poking Osgood after a whistle and Malkin swinging his stick at Zetterberg.|||i'm not much of a hockey fan, but i really hate it when people talk about momentum with how a sports team is doing, its so annoying!...but i want the penguins to win, and i think they will win at least 2 games|||Shall I post links to your REFS SUCK, WINGS are Favored, questions from last night?

You are still whining, without trying to whine! BUT, you are still whining!|||pliny the elder ...... osgood was trying to draw a call. neither team is playing dirty right now, hopefully the pens can win the next two because if they split at the igloo the pens are toast. my prediction is 3-2 pens in the next game|||Well... if it weren't for Mr. and Mrs. End Boards in game 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Post on each side of the ice in Games 1%26amp;2... we may be saying how the Penguins are up 2-0. But no need to ask such silly questions of what should of, could of, or would of been if blah blah didn't happen...

Now... I didn't read most of this question, because well, I attempted then saw how pointless it was. Also, I'd like to keep my high IQ without reading such text. Then I tried to skim... and all I see is "NO WHISTLE CALLED IT OFF!"... What the hell...

Anyway, both Games 3 %26amp; 4 are MUST-WINS for the Penguins... you can't be down at all, when you leave Pittsburgh. No 3-1 series lead for Detroit (obviously it can't be 4-0 either) if the Penguins want to win the Cup.

Our crowd will give the Penguins some boost in their confidence and their play. We can't let in these fluky goals... and Fleury needs to be on the top of his game. If that happens 1/2 the job is done... and Crosby/Malkin can be more electric in their own building. If you think Home-Ice isn't important... you're wrong.|||i know how you feel man, this sucks. but i wouldn't call the red wings dirty, its hockey for crying out loud. its been a tough hard fought series so far. pretty even too, wings are just getting the breaks right now. there D is suffocating then when we do break em down we find a way to screw it up or osgood turns into a brick wall. gotta take game 3 in the igloo. I still think the pens can pull this off, but they HAVE to take both games in Pit. Fleury needs to step up in the net, and crosby has to start putting the puck in the back of the net. sounds easy enough but the wings are a smart, physical team so pulling it off will be tough. Gotta believe though!!!

GO PENS!!!!|||Are you happy now that your rant is over? Good, now go to bed, son.

And Bon Jovi is the greatest band of all time. 'It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not. We've got each other, and that's a lot for love - We'll give it a shot!'|||Ahh yes... the muscles feeling like jelly. That's normal. I get that feeling EVERY playoff year... especially in OT. Ok, so seriously why so pissed??? "More Wings fans acting like just hand 'em the Cup"... I have to say EVERY team has some fans that would be acting like that in this situation including Penguins fans.

Why so down on the Penguins??? I wouldn't call the games they played choking. The only games that they looked shell shocked against the Wings were Games 1 and 2 last year. Other than that, they have played well. If you want the definition of choking, then look up the San Jose Sharks. Losing to a team like Detroit is anything but choking. Well... unless they lose like 6-0 maybe. This Pens team is far from being done. The games will remain close, that means both teams will have a great chance to get the win in each game. I will be very surprised if we see a blowout in any game. I also will not be surprised if the Wings win the next 2 or the Pens take the next 4. These teams are the best in the league right now, and both have the ability to get on a roll.

"The refs hard on the Penguins"???? You do realize up until the scrum at the end of this game that the Pens have been shorthanded only 2 times in 2 games right??? How would that reviewed play be a goal???? It never went in. Sure there were a couple of posts by Crosby and Guerin... but Zetterberg hit a post at the beginning of the game too. Both teams have missed on great chances.|||The Wings will drop one game in pittsburgh and win The Cup back in Hockeytown.|||What's that sound I hear? Oh, it's Cindy Crosby and all pens fans crying!

That Prince of Wales Trophy is the only cup you'll be lifting for a while.|||haha wow!...you said, "Bandwagoner pens fans have probably already given up. I haven't" Yet, you bashed me on Nips question for saying I think the pens will win games 3,4,5,and 6....saying I lost my mind....you are pathetic|||Osgood has outplayed Fleury in both games.

If that equation doesn't change...Detroit will win.|||Dude, it's just a hockey game. You seriously need to take some Xanax or something.|||Go red wings! The wings will sweep the penguins...I can feel it. The penguins want to fight to much...My opinion
