Help with the pitt on fallout 3?!?

i just got up to the first round of the arena and i went in with the assult rifle thing that i found while getting the ingots...... but as soon as an enemy bullet hits me i fall to the ground and cant move?? but i still take damage?? does any 1 know how to prevent this?? i tried cheating to get some power armor to protect me thinking that it was because i was unprotected and i was getting knocked out but that didnt help so any ideas??|||try leveling up before you try the pitt its the hardest dlc|||Fallout 3 is a very fun game, but sadly it's chopped full of bugs. A very common problem is when a play becomes "paralyzed", so to say. If possible, try to activate VATS (the auto-aim thing), before your character falls down. In vats, your character usually hops around to an area where they could see their target; hopefully you'll be able to "teleport" to an area where you don't fall down.
