Things to do near the Birmingham LG arena?

My friend and I would like to go and see McFly in Birmingham next march and my Dad has said that he'll take us since its so close to my birthday and the concert can be my birthday treat. The concert is on March 30th and my birthday is exactly 2 weeks later.





My dad doesn't want to go to the concert so i was wondering if there is anything near the Birmingham LG Arena, like a cinema that my dad could go to instead of just waiting around for like 3 hours whilst my friend and i go to the concert|||there is not much there - but the lg is next to birmingham international train station - get the train to birmingham new street - that is next to the centre and there is loads to do there|||Its out by the airport at the NEC which is on the outskirts of Birmingham and there is nothing at all there except a couple of nearby pubs and a restuarant.|||Things to do near the Birmingham LG arena?
