How to make an arena better?????

On Friday, I asked a ton of questions about being managers in different positions in your local NHL arena.

If you could change three things about your hockey arena experience what would they be?

As an example, I would like:

1) Full bars scattered throughout the arena- (Hockey makes me crave vodka)

2) Better parking and more secure parking, so that you car does not get broken into. (Some of you know the story)

3) Cell phones should be required to be turned off. (If you have ever sat next to some idiot yelling in a phone, “YEAH, WE AT THE GAME RIGHT NOW. WHAT WAS THAT? WHAT? SORRY, I AM HAVING A HARD TIME HEARING YOU BECAUSE I AM AT A GAME RIGHT NOW.”, I am pretty sure you’d agree.)

Keep in mind, I need a good laugh.|||ahh the cellphone inicident. I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. I just wanna grab they're phone and throw it onto the ice. When your at a hockey game...NOTHING is more important than the game at the time.. OR more bathrooms....by the time someone actually gets their turn, there's no use of using the toilet anymore. OH and, I really Wish they would change the music they play during the games. I mean "Everytime we touch" by Cascada, is not really Rough And Tough for Hockey Players.|||I like my local arenas but at DU I would add a snack shop for public skate. At the Pepsi Center I would add a Chipoltle|||Well My Ice Hockey rink I go to needs to be cleaned up. It has grafiiti on it and is just a dump..

I would get seats better and not bleachers.

I would make the locker rooms bigger

Better Concession stand.|||i would first but chocolate chairs so if ur hungry u can eat ur chair and not waste time going to get some food

then i would make robot refs athat exploded for every home goal scored

and then i would make the goal siren something like Twinkle twinkle little star, or the wheels on the bus go round.............

that would b awesome|||Require a test of hockey knowledge before entering for a game! Sorry TT|||1) open concourses can't stand waiting in line at concessions and have to watch on tv and not the rink

2) clear boards around the rink so you can see the puck when it is against the boards (also would need to raise the floor a few feet to maximize viewing)

3) head phones in the seat so you can listen to the commentary on the game

(hears the laugh you wanted)

Hockey Lessons

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 7 year old ockeyplayers aside and asked, Do you understand what cooperation is?

What a team is?"

The little boy nodded in the affirmative. Do you understand that what

matters is not whether we win or lose, but how we play together as a

team?"

The little boy nodded yes. So," the coach continued, "I’m sure you

know, when a penalty is called, you shouldn’t argue, curse, attack the

referee, or call him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?"

Again the little boy nodded. He continued, "And when I call you off

the ice so that another boy gets a chance to play, it’s not good

sportsmanship to call your coach ’a dumb asshole’, is it?’’

Again the little boy nodded. "Good," said the coach.

"Now go over there and explain all that to your mother..."
