I'm wanting to know your justification and reasoning (including Biblical references, if you can) for believing that . . .
1) . . . America is a Christian Nation, or was, or should be.
2) . . . the fight against Satan and Hell should be fought primarily/mostly/at all in the public and political arenas
3) . . . that things like "In God We Trust" on our money, or the Ten Commandments displayed in a court room actually matter
4) . . . that having a Christian sitting in the Oval Office will somehow make more people believe in Jesus
5) . . . any number of other issues held by those who equate their American citizenship and their faith in Jesus as equal or one and the same.
I'm not looking to get people to rally behind me on anything, even though I--a Christian--strongly disagree with all of these points. I truly want answers and rationale from someone who holds them.|||1. The founding fathers were Christian and history proves this. It is why this nation has been blessed.
we are to oppose evil this means trying to keep America christian.
2. We have the right in this Society to campaign for and fight for what we know to be right as do you. However one on one witnessing is best.
3. Because In GOD we do trust, The ten commandments are the bases for all morality.
4.From the oval office a christian could encourage christian work through out the world through $$programs and in his speech.
5. Nothing equals my relation with GOD it is by fare the most important to me. How ever this does not relieve us from the responsibility of fighting against evil. GOD does recognize nations and cities and hold they people responsible.|||1) it was founded on religious principles but the founders made this country because of religious persecution and made it so no religion would control the government. they wanted people to believe what they want
2) no
3) i don't think the "in god we trust" should matter to people who don't believe and most of the ten commandments people agree with any way. i wouldn't care if they were taken away
4) i don't think the president should impose their religion or lack of religion on people
5) i think every american citizen is equal unless they hate america(there are some)|||"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
United States isn't a christian nation.|||1. Our Country has freedom of religion. The 1st Amendment in the Bill of Rights. It is considered the West... So is founded on Judeo+Christian values. Just study the architecture of our National buildings is evidence of that. That we swear in on the Holy Bible...
2. The fight against satan is spiritual warfare. So satan rules the whole world as the god of this world who rules by deception. He gets in High places when there is a marriage of religion, politics %26amp; religious laws. Because this is a place of power %26amp; money %26amp; he gets in these positions by unethical means.
3. Yes it matters, because otherwise, we are denying that all have been give inalienable rights endowed by our Creator. So when atheists pressure America to deny our Creator..., then what President Reagan said, 'A Nation no longer under GOD, is a nation gone under.'.
4. Having a Christian in the oval office is a blessing for our Nation. I just watched the Chilean rescue and they were not ashamed to pray to GOD... And just today on news, President Bush said shortly after 9/11, that Americans were on bended knee for all those who died and suffered loss of loved ones and those who working to find survivors... George Bush was not ashamed to reference GOD...
While Obama even omits the part of the 'endowed to us by our CREATOR', in US founding document. He dis-invites Franklin Graham to the National Day of Prayer, then attends Islamic Ramadan celebrations in the White House.
Christianity is politically incorrect. Islam is politically correct. Because antichrist expression and anti-capitalism is politically correct. Socialism %26amp; Marxism is politically correct.
5. Jesus Kingdom is a Spiritual Kingdom. He Is the ROCK lifted up with GODS HANDS and who strikes down the kingdoms of this world when He comes back to throw the beast %26amp; false prophet into the lake of fire %26amp; satan into the abyss. Then the Kingdoms of this world [now ruled by deception by the god of this world, satan] become the Kingdoms of our GOD !
