Questions on Kung Zhu Stuff?

My little sister is turning 9 and for her birthday she REALLY wants Zhu Zhu pet stuff. It's REALLY expensive!! She already has three normal Zhu Zhu pets (if you can call ANY of them NORMAL. i personally detest them and think they are the stupidest most annoying waste of money ever, but oh well...) she wants Kung Zhu Battling zhu zhu pets now, and i have some questions...

1) can you buy the Kung Zhu armor separately and put it on ones you already have?

2)do you HAVE to have the big "battling and training" plastic thing? cuz if you do, im sure it coss at least $60 from the prices I've seen on other Zhu Zhu things.

3)know of any places to get Kung Zhu pets and/or the training battling arena and tubes thingy for cheap... well cheapER at least.

4)Real hamsters are much cuter, quieter, cheaper, more fun, and they dont make you want to kill them every time they are awake. What is the obsession little kids have with them??

Well thanks!! %26lt;3|||When I saw the commercial for those when I went to the movies a couple months ago I actually wanted to kill myself.|||Just to clear the air, KUNG ZHU is just ZHU ZHU pets for boys. Now, to answer your questions.

1. You Cannot buy the armor separately. And just to be frank, if iw ere your lil sis, i'd be mad if you did that.

2.You don't HAVE to get the battle arena, if she wants it so bad, get it for her on a special occasion like xmas.

3.I do not know where to get any kung zhu pets cheap, but you could bing it.

4.Little kids are obsessed with everything. buy them a stick and they'd fall in love with it.|||1) You can buy the Kung Zhu armor separately (MSRP $10) and put it on a regular Zhu Zhu Pet (it will fit); however, it will not have much functionality. Zhu Zhu Pets will not enter into a "fight" mode; they were not designed for this purpose. Only Kung Zhu Pets will "fight." The way a Kung Zhu Pet enters "fight" mode is to a) read a battle code from a Tablet of Zhu (comes packaged with the armor) or b) read a battle code from the Battle Arena -- MSRP $35.

You can find videos of how Kung Zhu Pets work at http://www.MyKungZhuPets.com.

2) You do not have to have the battle and training grounds (similar to the track %26amp; habitrail for Zhu Zhu Pets). Those are entirely optional. Each segment of the battle and training grounds costs anywhere from $10 to $23, so you could spend a fortune creating a giant playground for Kung Zhu Pets. The good news -- if you have Zhu Zhu habitrail pieces, they are compatible with Kung Zhu Pets and playset pieces -- they will fit together; however, the Kung Zhu Pet will just act like a Zhu Zhu Pet in the Zhu Zhu habitrail.

The Battle Arena is almost a necessity for containing the Kung Zhu Pets when they fight -- otherwise the Kung Zhu Pets will ramble all over the floor and never come in contact with each other. It also contains the battle code to set the Kung Zhu Pets in "fight" mode. I would say the bare minimum for a Kung Zhu gift would be the Battle Arena with two Kung Zhu Pets. Expect to pay about $55 for these three items. Alternatively, you could buy two Kung Zhu Pets with two suits of armor and pay $40 -- the Kung Zhus will be able to fight, but you'll need to keep them in a confined space (like one of the rooms from the Zhu Zhu habitrail) so they will be run into each other and "fight."

3) Amazon.com has competitive prices and often has free shipping for orders over $25 -- watch for sales -- they do occasionally happen. Walmart and Target also carry Kung Zhu toys. I have seen the hamsters and armor in CVS Pharmacies as well.

4) Kids want anything they see advertised on TV ;-)
