Hockey: Regarding your favorite NHL teams arena?

1. What things do you like about the arena?

2. What things DON'T you like about the arena?

3. What changes would you make to the arena?|||Coyotes...

1. The Suburbs are niiiiiice!

2. No one is ever there when I go!

3. Move it to Mexico City

HOWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLER!|||1.World's Most Famous Arena....very exciting...in the heart of NYC

2.Sticky... above Penn Station

3.None...except move the Knickerbockers out of it...|||United Center

1. The atmosphere, the crowd, the intensity and how every seat is a good seat.

2. Only 22,000 fit in there

3. Add more seats

LETS GO HAWKS!!!!|||Wachovia Center

1. Passionate Fans, Lauren Hart singing the national anthem (best in the NHL by far..) Lou Nolan's voice, and Orange Crush come playoff times, also Shawn Hills dancing is pretty rowdy. Good food, and Close to Geno's Steaks and Pat's King of Steak.

2. Cranky people that give you the food, some are real funny but some are cranky and super shady. Tickets are expensive (but that's the NHL's fault)

3.Rename it after the Spectrum is gone, maybe the Wachovia Spectrum? Or whoever buys out Wachovia.|||hsbc arena

1. easily accessible via the train.

2. the urban decay surrounding it is unsettling.

3. take it with me when i move back to the city i love, philadelphia. (even if i have recently found a soft spot for the flyers.)|||1. The atmosphere, MTL is great.

2. Only 21 273 seats

3. Add more seats

EDIT:

Baseballfreak, for hockey, only 20 500 seats are available at the UC in chicago. The Bell Center in MTL has 21 273 seats and is the biggest in the NHL.|||(Mellon Arena)

1) Old charm. It's big, silver dome shape which brought about its nickname--- the Igloo! Oh, and the lemonade, of course.

2) It's OLD. Not enough seats! Some of the aisles are marked with chalk on the concrete floors... LOL.

3) Considering a new arena is being built... and the Igloo will be demolished, I think it's a little too late for change(s), eh?|||Pengrowth Saddledome in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

1. Its gotta be the coolest looking building out of any arena in the league. http://cdn0.sbnation.com/imported_assets鈥?/a>

Easy to get to via LRT train.

2. Price of beer, food, etc, but I am sure that could be said about every arena in the NHL.

3. Paint the whole thing Flames red, make the thing stand out. And give out free beer and nachos/pizza/burgers/hot dogs/popcorn|||1. I DO like the smell.

2. I DON'T like paying $7 for heroin beer.

3. I'd CHANGE seating prices/arrangements. Cheap seats in the lower bowl so the real fans are there yelling at the teams and the upper-crusty rich snobs what think that they're at the library and not a freaking hockey game can sit in the nosebleeds and do their golf-clapping from up there!!|||1 easily accessible especially by public transit

2. the amount of corporate seats and where there located right down low so the true fans have to sit up top

3 more seats and switch where the corporate sections are let the true fans sit in the lower bowl|||Only been to the Bell Centre once (in 98 against the Islanders having won a contest at "NIckels", a chain like Denny's which I believe was owned by Mike Bossy at the time)

1) I liked everything about it, but was nostanglic for the Forum.

2) Nothing really, but the scalpers outside are a tad aggressive.

3) Make it bigger.

In a market like MTL we'd easily sell 30k seats a nite if the arena were big enough eh. Canadiens fans aren't bandwagon fans which I can't say for those of other teams also

I think that the VIP section should be accessible to the public. There's a lot of history on display, would be nice if it were made more accessible to a greater number of fans, because as I've always said you can't appreciate the present without knowing the past|||Joe Louis Arena (Detroit, Michigan)

1 - When you stand outside of the arena, in person, you feel like THAT is THE place to go see a hockey game, almost like you would if it were the Belle Centre in Montreal, Canada.

2 - It's in Detroit.. and the games are usually over at night time... And they don't have a machine to teleport me back home safely.

3 - I'm a neat freak, I'd have that place so clean that it would be rediculous.|||The Wachovia Center, Philadelphia

1. The accessibility, the variety of concessions, the parking areas' susceptibility to tailgating, the crazy, zany, impassioned fans

2. The traffic congestion after the game. Heaven forbid there's another sporting event in the area of Broad %26amp; Pattison (there's currently four arenas/stadiums at that locale) coinciding with a Flyers game. The potential number of Philly sports fans in one area can be staggering.

3. To be honest, none. Good or bad, it all adds to the ambiance and experience of going to a game.|||RBC Center

1. It's loud and people are into it. Food's good, too.

2. It's loud and the little kids scream obnoxiously. Some seats are expensive, and some are packed together.

3. Make it bigger and lower prices.|||TD Banknorth

1. There is not a single bad seat even if your in the way back and the crowd is loud.

2. When there are Montreal fans in attendance.

3. add a little green|||Calgary's arena and Vancouver's arena.

1 - They both have great seats and a great ice. Also like the scoreboards. They are sick.

2 - I don't think i have a thing i dont like about the arena.

3 - More Seats at the Top. Would be SICK!|||1. It has a great horn.

2. Sticky floors.

3. Clean it up.|||saddledome in calgary:

1. size, and the flames that go off when the flames score, those are awesome! And you can feel the heat from them too....

2. ehh the box seats are terrible, but I don't really care, I barely ever go in them anyway, but the saddledome is a great arena overall.

3. the box seats, and better food? lol all they serve there is ice cream it seems...and maybe some pizza and popcorn here and there...oh and the pizza is like 45 bucks for a large, such a rip off!

EDIT: Kevin, I'm confused, are you a sharks fan or a rangers fan? lol|||Madison Square Garden!

1. The history and the fans make the building like no other in the NHL and shake the cores of Crosby, Ovechkin, and MARRRRRRTY

2. Seats arent steep enough, people get in the way

3. NOTHING|||Air Canada Centre:

1) Easily accessible by subway, rail, and pretty much anywhere in the city. Hockey sightlines. Seats are miles more comfortable than the MLG seats (since I'm getting older my back is very much appreciative of this).

2) I'd evict the basketball team yesterday; having to lay flooring down so they can play bouncy-ball makes the ice bad. As much money as MLSE has, that ice should be the best in the league.

3) I suppose expanding capacity comes to mind. For purposes of entertainment, some kind of game (or Benny Hill music) at the start of the period when the prawn sandwich/chardonnay brigade come waddling back to the Platinum Level having spent the intermission stuffing their maws and feigning importance.

Honestly, there isn't much I'd change. When you compare the ACC to MLG, as they say, it's night and day. I know people have this love affair with MLG (and okay, I'm as guilty as anyone), but the new building has more capacity and better sightlines.|||Flames Fan = Pengrowth Saddledome

1. Cool design, good seating, easily accessible location, located on the Stampede grounds and super close to 17th ave.

2. Sound quality compared to other arenas is terrible. Walls absorb sound making it sound alot more quiet than what it really is.

3. Fixing the sound quality and adding more seating.|||Air Canada Centre

1. There are many... but I have to say. When it's full and loud and filled with excitement it's definitely one a place to be. It's also quite pretty looking from the outside! Score boards pretty cool too!

2. Well... for a starter it has no cup holders! I hate that there are no cup holders. Also I think it should be able to seat more. At a Hockey Game you can only seat 18,800.

3. Add Cup Holders... and More Seats!|||Xcel Energy Center

1. It's the best stadium experience in the world...even ESPN said so

2. Nothing. it's a hockey mecca...seriously you havent lived until you've been to a Wild game

3. NOTHING!
